Creative Displays
Window Dresser - Stopping the passer-by from passing by
About Creative Displays
Creative Displays has been set up to help small to medium sized businesses compete on an even footing with large chains and multinationals through crafted window displays and informed product placement.
Through the eighties the trend for shop windows moved away from attractive window displays to basic merchandising. However, the specially designed window has reasserted itself as it has been found that when walking along the Highstreet people prefer to see nice, individually designed windows in keeping with the products sold in the shop.
Creative Displays provide shop owners with the ability to achieve high power window displays and in-store merchandising on an attainable budget.

History
Creating displays, and decoration for events, has always been something which attracted me. Prior to my thirty years of hands on experience in retail display, I studied Display at College and obtained my certificates from the British Display Society. I then gained experience working with several companies; The most notable being Selfridge's in Oxford Street London.
After Marrying and raising my family, I decided to return to work. Obtaining a position with Smiths of Greenock, I stayed with them for 13 years. During this time I gained invaluable experience and developed the confidence I required to stand on my own.
I felt that my skills, experience and creativity were being under-utilised in the employment of only one company.
As a professional in my field, I felt I had the ability to cater to a wider range of clients and as a result of this I planned and launched Creative Displays in the Summer of 2002. Through hard work, and word of mouth, my client base has steadily expanded.
I feel that many businesses could greatly elevate their position with the help of a professional window dresser.
Being a window dresser is very enjoyable because I have a wide range of clients and the work is always varied and never boring. The fresh attitude I gain from this keeps new ideas flowing and increases my ability to come trhough for my client.
There is a fantastic sense of anticipation when I arrive to decorate a shop window because I hope that the client's vision of the end result matches my own, as their staisfaction with the display is of the utmost importance to me.
I gain a feeling of achievement in helping each business because I know that the work I am doing will have a direct positive effect on them.
Building a relationship with my clients is very important to me and I find that the people I meet through my work invariably become my friends.
